3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Fin (5479) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 6, 2008
750ml bottle from Londis Westholme stores, Goring on Thames, Oxon 03-05-08 Chesnut in clour with a large tan fluffy head. Yeast, malt and a slight soft sourness on the nose. Taste is sweet, malty and like a spicey toffeeness swirling around the mouth it gets a little sticky at times and as pleasant as it is I wish this bottle had of been a little smaller, nonetheless a decent beer.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 faroeviking (8598) - Kongens Lyngby, FÖROYAR, FAROE ISLANDS - MAY 1, 2008
Botella. Pours a hazy deep amber colour with a huge well lasting off-white head leaving a good lacing. Aroma of sweet well toasted malt, yeast, caramel and some sweet fruitiness. Good but bit thin mouthfeel. The flavour has a good well toasted maltiness, caramel, yeast, some dark fruits, mild bitter hoppiness and alcohol. The finish is sweet with a good maltiness and some yeast.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 RSRIZZO (1634) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - APR 29, 2008
Aroma is a mild roasted scent. Color is a deep hazy orange brown with good carbonation and a tight tan head. Taste is mildly sweet. Starting with a light body it goes down easy with a slight crispness. Finish comes in with a mild sweet roasted malt flavor and a little caramel with hints of fruit, then ends with a very mellow bitterness. After taste is clean with a slight warming feel. This brew is much lightly then it looks, this is not a bad thing. Its a delicate flavor that gets better as it warms up. Don’t try this brew too cold, the bottle says drink it between 50°-55° and that’s where the flavor really shows up.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 MaliMisho (215) - East Meadow, New York, USA - APR 22, 2008
It had a dark brown body with a little tan head. The high ABV content was definitely noticeable, but did not ruin the beer.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 DruncanVeasey (4794) - NUNEATON, Conference North, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - APR 20, 2008
Ruby pour heaped with a subsiding rocky beige head. Nose sweet and distinctly woody with rooty/earthy herbal notes like Jagermeister, liquorice, a hint of berry fruit, marzipan..ALCOHOL. Flavour initially caramelised sweetness, medicinal spice, a touch of plummy nectarine fruit, then almond, ALCOHOL bitterness and burn. If this was in a can and brewed by Grolsch or Tennent’s nobody would give it anything. 750ml is way too much. Corked it, stuck it in the fridge for the missus, and had a Westvleteren to take the taste away.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 esjaygee (2496) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - APR 20, 2008
Hazy brown with earthy aroma mixed with caramelized sugar. Tastes very sugary and sweet, almost candy-like with a chalky finish. Alcohol is a bit noticeable too.
