Good Belgian and somwhat unique. It seemed to have a mix of flavor profiles. The aroma was Belgian and bready. The color a cloudy brownish amber with particulates and a small fizzy head. The palate had a medium weight with higher carbonation. The first sips reminded me of an Abbey Dubbel mixed with a Scotch ale. It was still distinctly Belgian because of the yeast presence. Alcohol was somewhat present. Good but this brewery has done better.

Colour is between red en light brown. Bittersweet taste with some plum and raisin details. Good beer, but not d’Achouffes greatest work though.

0,33L bottle, BB 10.2016. Pours very dark ruby with light brown head. The head stays. Aroma is malt, dark fruits, caramel. Flavor is sweet, malt, dark fruits, caramel, some spicy notes and yeast. Finish is fruits and caramel. It feels very light for 8% abv. Overall: great brew.

Bottle 750ml. Cloudy brown with big beige head and lots of sediments. Malty aroma, some cherry notes, yeasty, caramel. Sweet malty flavor, cherry, syrupy, quite alcoholic, sweet-sour finish. Moderate carbonation, medium to full-bodied.

Pouco aroma, cor marrom intensa, sabor maltado forte e alcoólico, retrogosto com notas de café e final médio!

Murky dark brown colour and a faint reminiscent of a white yellowish head. Aroma not very strong, malts, some caramel and grassy notes. Taste fairly bitter and acidic. Texture is on the lighter side but the carbonation makes it better as it’s sharp at first and then softens towards the end. A bit mixed feelings about this one.

I had it from the supermarket Del Haize, Brussels or it can also be found in many pubs in Belgium. Classic Belgian Ale taste

From a bomber bought in a grocery store in Brussels, poured in a snifter. Pours slightly ruby cloudy dark brown. Aroma is suculent fruit. Flavor is great well balanced dark fruit and malt party with clean slightly dry finish. Great brown Belgian Strong Ale.
