3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 wunderbier (1434) - Tampere, FINLAND - DEC 19, 2003
0.25 L draft serving, Mc Chouffe glass. Tall, foamy, off-white head is slowly diminishing and sits on a deep brown body with ruby highlights. Nutty, toasted rye bread malt (M); flowery hops (L); toffee and various candi sugar aromas. Moderately sweet, lightly acidic flavor becomes a moderately sweet, moderately bitter, moderately acidic, lightly sour finish. Medium body, oily texture, lively carbonation. The bottom line is: a little sour, but strong a nutty otherwise; a decent scotch ale.
