Exceptionally well crafted beer that goes down rather too easily. Seems to develop well as it warms slightly, though not as spicy as I would have imagined. I don’t get any coriander on the nose, but perhaps not a young enough bottle. Overall exceptionally good, if still a little disappointing. Whilst I would have this again there are others in the style I would make a bee line for first.

Lightly hazy amber beer, good cream coloured head. Palate is airy with good fine carbonation. Light creamy malts, trace of caramel. Mild ripe generic fruits. Trace of spice. Soft finish. Decent.

28.11.2014. Dark brown, coarse white head. Spices, raisins, plums, syrupy malts on nose. Taste is medium bodied, malty, dried fruits. Solid Belgian ale but doesnt stand out enough. Taste is a bit thin and boozy.

Bottle. First time I have drunk this in a long long time. Nose is very nutty, slight caramel, some celler, touch of toffee, malt, hint of smoke. Taste is toffee, nut, emerging caramel, honey, brown sugar, some raisin and stewed apple, touch of orange, some spices. Mouthfeel is too carbonated. Nice to revisit, but I’ve remembered while it’s an occasional friend. The beer is to sweet and too thin, giving a slightly sickly edge which detracts.

33 cl bottle @ home. Pours dark brown with thick, beige head which fades fast. Aroma of caramel, some dark red fruits, and nuts. Very soft palette, tastes bit sweet and sour. Long aftertaste. Not my favorite brown.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy reddish brown color with white head. Caramel, spice, fruity aromas. Malty sweet, caramel, fruity, bready, spicy flavors. A very nice belgian.

Pours brown colour with ruby reflexes. The head is of considerable size but fades quite quickly. Aroma of raisins, caramel, dried fruits, a bit wine, even some funky notes appeared (or it was just my imagination). Unexpectedly light in taste, moderately sweet with a slighty sour finish and a distinct raisin and caramel notes. Great drinkability, a decent example of Belgian Ale.
