750ml bottle that I picked up in Belgium, with a best before 2008.
Pours a cloudy, red tinged, dark brown with a two finger head that fades quickly to a thick cap, leaving behind a thick sheeting of lace behind.
Smell; very nice dark fruit aromas with plums, dates and maybe a little raisins. There’s also some nice caramel, and toffee notes, and I’m also piking up a little coffee in here as well.
Taste; the toffee and caramel are very evident in the flavor with the dark fruits with plums, dates and raisins filling out the middle. The finish has a very rich chocolate presence with a little bit of some coffee notes in there, and touches of yeast. This has a very unique flavor profile, that I’m really liking tonight.
Mouthfeel/Drinkability; the mouthfeel is medium bodied with a very smooth but active carbonation, and the drinkability is just great. I’m having a hard time putting down my glass.

WOW, WOW, WOW!!! Deep amber/brown pour. Huge frothy, foamy, light, light brown head. I had to wait for the head to sink n the middle. Lacing completely covered the glass. Aroma was flat out earthy and malty. Flavor was earthy, malty, airy, and light. As it warmed I got notes of apple, orange and spices of cinnamon and all spice, especially in the aftertaste! Medium to full bodied. Alcohol well hidden. So smooth to drink. The was the BEST brew i’ve had in a while!!!

Pours muddy brown with a thin head that dissappears quickly. A masterpiece in smell with tones of cinnamon, anis, oranges and fruity tones from the yeast. It is medium to full-bodied. The tasting only enhances the aromatic pleasures. Stunning!

Bomber from Case and Keg.
Pours dark brown with a redish tint and a big lasting head. Decently carbonated this stuff smells terrific with notes of caramel, alcohol and yeast. Taste is intersting because the alcohol is completely gone, starts off very belgian with the typical dark fruit and yeast and ends with a really nice long caramel finish. This is probably not the most complex brew its a really great belgian take on a scotch ale, I think its even a touch better than the Canaster Winter Scotch. Very tasty and very good!

On tap at Beachwood BBQ. Pour a dark plum color with a fluffy beige head. Smells of Belgian yeast and caramel. Tastes of both with addded notes of dark fruit and malt. Highly drinkable, but seems far from style. Makes me wish I had a Chouffe gnome.

Great belgian brown. Big yeasty nose, full of bananas and forest fruits, marzipan. Full bodied, nice carbonation, malty caramel flavours and good belgian tastiness. Long happy finish. Masks the 8% well.

cereal, hay, bread, roasty, dough, reddish brown, hazy, frothy, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, very full body, slick feel, lively, long finish, slightly fruity, can taste the alcohol. Eventually you get used to the fruitiness (I am not a fan of fruity beer). I am really enjoying this.
