In the bottle at the Red Monk during the 2006 Crescent Moon Beer Bus Trip. Brown in color with a fantastic long lingering chocolate and raisin aroma. This went over so well that the bartender had to say, "Everyone calm down...it’s just beer." Delicious plum and raisin flavor with a thick malty brown blanket. Delightful.

Awesome dark belgian beer, not overly hopped, nice and smooth. Had to warm it up for about 15 minutes before the flavors came out, only wish it had a cork instead of a bottle cap. Really dark brown, not black beer, slightly spiced palate, drank it in a huge wine glass because it was the closest I had to proper glassware. Very drinkable and pleasant for such a strong beer, maltiness and toasty with a tiny bit of spice covers up the flavor of alcohol.

A nice Belgian Scotch ale. Dark colour, with a large fluffy off white head atop. The nose was full of dark stone fruit, spice, and intrigue, the palette was lively and brought out the spicy side of things a bit more. A bit of caramel also going on I think.

Bottled from AH in Mestreech. A bit hazy reddish brown color, hard tan head, not too thick. More than average carbonated. Aroma is sweet, with malts, yeast and berries. Flavour is sweetend, stingy alcoholic, turns into a pleasant long-lasting bitterness. Very well-made!

Dark brown, tall head, shrinks down quickly.
Zesty, orange peal, leaves a grassy trace long after. Small tornado beads appeared near the end of the glass. Dry and earthy finish. Quite splendid.

Pours a pale brown. Ruby brown in glass to light. active off white soapy head. settled normally. First sip equals rich sweet and yeasty. Nose is of mash and primary fermentation. Vanilla and round tones in mouthfeel. finish just a touch of hops . A jewel.
