3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 boto (1549) - Granby, Connecticut, USA - NOV 26, 2005
11.2 oz bottle: This one opened with little evidence of carbonation, but poured with a fairly large head anyway. It died off rather quickly, however. It is a fairly opaqur brown color. The nose was nice, with notes of caramel, yestiness and fruits, although there was a slight hint of a peatiness. The taste has a bit of a roasty taste and dryness that wans’t expected. A bit of the peatiness in the taste also, as well a a bit of caramel and smokiness. Interesting...
3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Indra (2323) - Overland Park, Kansas, USA - DEC 26, 2001
Aroma of dark bread. Very robust head. Somewhat opaque dark reddish-brown, with some sediment. Some sweet, dark, fruity malt tastes up front, with a just a hint of sourness and some spices at the end (hops?). Very interesting blend of styles here, and it works. Medium body and some effervescence. Aftertaste is very nice, lightly citric, almost... Good stuff.

I especially enjoyed the aroma of this beer. Earthy, some hops, also some cherry notes. Very pleasant. The beers pours a cherry copper colour with a nice frothy head. Sweetish flavours, with chocolate, mustiness and a strong alcohol finish. Palate is lively but low on malt. Overall an enjoyable beer.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Sham (1846) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 13, 2004
Dark mahogany pour, off white head and sheet lacing. Tangy malts, spices and floral hops in the aroma. Woody roasdted malt flavors, more spices, hops, and some wood. Sticky palate full of spice, well defined body, and a finish of alcohol and spice.

A red brown body with a lively tan head that quickly faded. Aroma of caramel, raisan and brown sugar. Flavour is sweet, but rather acidic and the high alcohol is quite apparent. Not as full as the nose would want you to beleive. Finish is creamy but acidic. The elf on the bottle is great and the picture in the corner showing the beer in a glass. If there was a category for label this would probably be my favourite so far.
