COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
As gold medalist in the Golden Canadian Ale category at the 1996 World Beer Cup, Griffon Extra Pale Ale has earned a place of honor among Canadian premium beers. Noted beer expert and author Charlie Papazian praised Griffon Extra Pale for its bright gold color, clean hop and malt flavor and "great drinkability".

Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, moderate yeasty, toffee notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, malty, fruity yeast. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20111001]

An orange beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet malty with a corn sourness lying in the background. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of oranges and a dry end.

Bottled (from Alko Arkadia). Golden colour, not much head. Aroma is grains, fruits, sweet malts as well as some hone and hay. Flavour is being quite similar in a good balance. Actually comes out clean and very refreshing. High drinkability, even though it’s not the most exciting beer around.

Deep golden color, small white head. Sweet sugary, crystal malty nose. Light to medium-bodied, a bit fizzy. Flavor is pale malty, sweetish crystal malty and bready. Weak palate. Feels a bit old.
