Commercial Description:
St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout consistently beats out international stouts in blind tastings and competitions. This intensely black ale carries strong hints of espresso and chocolate. The oatmeal contributes body and ensures a long-lasting mocha-coloured head. If you like stout, you will love St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout.

11.5 oz bottle poured into pint glass. Smells a little like like cappuccino. Wow! Nice flavor to match the aroma. Not so much overpowering smoke flavor I get in so many stouts. Feels good swirling around my mouth, with a nice level of carbonation. Overall very good and possibly a little too drinkable!

One of the smoothest pints I’ve ever tried, both on tap and in a bottle. On tap it is like the finest silk is flowing down your throat. On your tongue it is creamy and full of great malty flavours. Coffee, roasted malt, and chocolate, they are all here! And in a nice delicate manner.

Pours black, thick beige head. Aroma is very malty. Oats, coffee, slightly chocolate aroma. Flavour is smooth, slightly sour, a little burnt, very dry and a strong coffee finish. Very strong and hot for 5%.

Very dark opaque pour. Rich, chocolatey aroma with some oatmeal. Flavor is oats, dark chocolate, a bit of smoke, charcoal, and a light sourness. Some licorice too. Mouthfeel is full with good carbonation. Rich, chocolatey finish.

Bottle. Pours a nice rich dark brown, with a very thick, fluffy, and lacy tan head. Aroma is thick with oats, very sweet. Milk chocolate, roasted barley, did I mention oats? Palate of coffee, a touch of cigarette ash, rich and mild. Very good.

Pours nice and dark, with a dark head; nice retention and lace. Starts light, followed by the oatmeal, and finishes with toasty/burnt flavor; overall very smooth & enjoyably unobstrusive.

Bottle courtesy of zathrus13. A black beer with a thick, dense brown head this beer looks fantastic in the glass. Amazing roasted nose with lots of rich chocolate and coffee notes. Body is extremely thin and disappointing. Flavor is dry with a big roasted character with chocolate under tones and a slightly smokey presence. Finishes smooth and roasted.
