12oz bottle pours a hazy brown with some thin, fizzy, off white head. Lots of apparent carbonation. Aroma is a mix of spice, nutmeg, coriander, some raw ginger root, some brown sugar, something a bit sour, almost a little lacto. Flavor is similar, lightly sweet, lightly spicy, light malt, some root veg, a little dried citrus, pumpkin spices, a splash of apple cider vinegar. Old bottle maybe? Finish the same, lightly sweet, lightly spicy, touch of acid.

341ml bottle from the lcbo. Pours a nearly clear caramel colour with a thin, off-white film head. Aroma is noticeable. Big pumpkin, pie crust, and spices.Taste is a mild bitter with a hit of pumpkin, clove, and cinnamon.Medium body and carbonation. Fairly crisp and clean in the mouth with a smooth, drinkable finish.Overall rather tasty. A great example of a pumpkin beer that isn?t overly sweet. Solid pumpkin pie flavours but still a drinkable and refreshing.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Oak Tree, 11/10/13, as St. Ambroise Pumpkin

Aroma: The nose is pumpkin spice, bready malts/toast, and some biscuit
Appearance: It pours a clear reddish-orange color with a small beige head and average lace
Flavor: The flavor is malty and bready, plenty of spice, and a bit of bitterness as well
Palate: This was has a decent feel, medium body, average carbonation, and a dry, spicy finish
Overall Impression: Solid pumpkin beer with a lot of bread flavors to it. Leans toward the yam side of the style. Overall, this was not a favorite of mine in the style, but it is still pretty solid stuff.

Bottle from Capone’s. Pours translucent dark brown, almost clay colored, with minimal off-white head. Nose is caramel malt, earthy brown sugar, spice, vinous fruit notes. Tastes caramel malty, with well integrated spices, some earthy, brown sugary, and mild nutty flavor, and a complex finish with a nice balance. This is a very good ale.

This five-per cent-alcohol brew is copper-coloured and pours with a short-lived, medium grey head. There’s a vibrant pumpkin pie aroma and a definite tanginess in the taste. Cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves are added to the pumpkin and more normal beer ingredients to produce the bouquet and flavours, but the body is surprisingly thin -- which would be my primary complaint. But I foresee no problem in getting through three more of them tonight.

Bottle. Pours bright orange with a small head that quickly fades to a ring. Aroma is all pumpkin spices with a slight brown sugar sweetness. Taste has some nice sweetness to go with the pumpkin pie spices. Not much else though. A bit watery. Thin body. Probably won’t buy again but not bad.
