3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
From a friend at the LCBO. thanks buddy. I donít really like pumpkins, so i figured I would not be a huge fan of pumpkin beer, I had southern tier pumpking a couple days ago and it wasnít bad, iím sure for someone who likes pumpkins itís probably fín amazing, this beer I would say isnít as good as that, but I am enjoying it more because the pumpkin flavour isnít so in your face.
Pours an amber colour with a head which dissolves to pretty much nothing. The aroma is big and spicey, pumpkin pie, the pumpkin takes a back seat to the smells of cinnamon, and licorice, I swear to god I smells something else though, like coca cola or something, but itís good. The flavour is good, pumpkin pie, cinnamon, but ends on a strange coca cola note, strange, but it works. The weight is a little light, compared to southern tiers version, which is one thing that I preferred by them, a little higher of an abv might have help kicked this up a notch, but i still really enjoyed this brew.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Great smell, smelt like a pumpkin pie (no surprise). Amber colour, silky smooth with some nice lacing. A little heavy on the pumpkin flavour, but not at all bad.
I had the Great Lakes Pumpkin Ale earlier this week and it was similar only the smell was great but there was little discernable pumpkin flavour.

Pretty spicy aroma with more subtle pumpkin notes. Very lightly sweet. A bit more pumpkin in the flavor. Nice. Like a nice cooked pumpkin dish more than a pumpkin pie.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is the best pumpkin beer that Iíve ever had. Aroma is cinnamon and clove. I love the smell of cinnamon. Initial taste is crisp with a smooth texture. Most of the flavours come out in the aftertaste. Pumpkin spice, cinnamon and clove become very prominent and give a great mouthfeel. Great beer, canít wait till next year!

clear chesnut pour, off-white head. smells(like all other pumkin ales), like pumkin spices(clove, nutmeg, allspice all there), lots of caramel, taste is good, subtle on the flavours leaning on an already well-crafted base. mcauslan never fails.
