3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On Tap: Pours a true amber with a moderate white head and thicker lacing. The nose is malty with fruits and light hops. Taste is more dark fruit and roasted malt with a light hops presence to balance. Easily the best McCall ale that I have sampled so far.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I am always glad to find a brewer that can make a decent amber and was pleased to find one in McCall, Idaho.. From a draft pour at the brewpub , this poured a hazy mahogany amber with a big white head and very nice lacing rings. Nose is caramel malts and floral and citrus hops. Clean and smooth mouthfeel. Flavor is on the bitter side for an amber. Finish also shows some bitterness making this brew good to the last drop. Excellent amber.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at brewpub Cloudy amber color with a small nitro-like head. It has a sweet malty aroma, but a pretty hoppy taste. After a little more it seemed to be a pretty well balanced brew with average carbonation and a sweet finish. I think it is a good example of a more bitter NW amber.

Tap @ Brewpub in McCall, ID<BR>Dark ruby, mahogany, nice head and light lacing. Nose of light fruity malts and subtle hops and yeast. The flavor is nice with a rich chewy body, light tobacco and smoky roast notes in the tail. Thick mouthfeel, nice earthy/herbal hops. Clean tail. Great amber!
