2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours a cloudy brownish color with a small white head on there. Nose is heavily laden with ginger, but there is little else I can get in the aroma. Taste is sweet, and also hugely filled with ginger. Only a little citrus in there. Meh.

2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at whole foods. Dark amber hazy pour. Ginger aroma is evident. Ginger throughout, a bit on the heavy side with another shot of ginger. Ok ginger beer, terrible hefeweizen.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber. Aroma is as described, ginger and lemon; I also get a cheesiness that I’m not totally sure was intentional or not. It’s also pretty floral. Pours hazy orange with a fast collapsing off-white head. Taste is ginger, lemon, bread. It’s mostly (lightly) sweet but it has a touch of sour and some light bitterness in the finish. The ginger contributes some welcome spiciness. Body is fairly thin, but it should be, carbonation is fine. Nice fruity wheat ale.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from a bomber. Golden in color with a white head. The aroma is citrus, ginger. There are clean fermentation characters. The flavor is lemon juice, citrus, bready malts. The sweetness from the lemon is subtle but nice.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber from Hayduke. We had it together on facebook chat. This poured with a big white head that quickly left more room for more beer in the glass. No lacing on my glass. It was hazy and darker gold, kind of dingy. Ginger in the aroma with light lemon. The flavor was also mostly ginger. Lemon grass is light and cloves actually outshine it. Later some earth emerges along with hop bitterness. Very late something like orange zest was tasted. And then at the very end the ginger stepped up again. This is not to be confused with a great beer but it is tasty. The additions to the hefe made this less than refreshing so it would not be a strong lawnmower beer. I enjoyed it and the end was greater than the parts.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Shared with Strykzone via Facebook Chat. Poured a dirty gold with an off-white that boiled up in my hefe glass and left beautiful lace. Nose shows a lot of ginger and lemon. Medium plus body. Smooth in the mouth. The flavor is dominated by the ginger and lemon, but there is clove as well. No banana detected. Some earth. Finish shows a little bitterness. Very easy drinking and quite enjoyable

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
22oz Bottle, hazy light yellow with a full white head. Standard hef aroma with just a hint of citrus and ginger. Mild wheat flavor, again, barely a trace of the other flavors. Nice a crisp and pleasant.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Interesting, but not interesting enough. Weak head for a weizen, pours hazy amber, mild spiciness of labeled ingredients are present in the aroma and taste, but not as strong as they should be. Noticeably dry finish. Decent for a spiced beer, poor for a weizen

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
The bottle says "This brew uses real lemon zest and ginger root. Bringing the boil to convey a slight citrus and spicy flavor."
Found this at Brewer’s Haven today... I think it was about $6....
Pours a hazy orange with a surprisingly short lasting head for a wheat beer.... spotty lacing.
Nose shows light citrus with plenty of wheat aromas and a bigger ginger element.
Flavor: Wheat malt and ginger are the big players with some background lemon zest that compliments everything... Pretty tasty but will have to be something that I am craving to buy often.
IMO sorta a mess alone, but I bet most folks will like it.
This will do better with food... I think possibly some Satay or even Pho.
One note for the brewers: Citrus zest and ginger don’t translate as well when ONLY done in the boil. A "dry hop/spice" does more translatable damage on the aroma/palate.. but that is easy to fuck-up to with infections.
Anyway... I am digging this one.
