BückDich (4525), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 26, 2003 Aroma is subtle with notes of hops and roasted coffee. Very black color with no head, very oily looking, motor-oilish. Flavor is rich with coffee grounds and smoke, chocolate is evident there too and some interesting fruity notes for such a low ABV stout, almost like the flavors of an imperial minus the alcohol. Very smooth finish, easy to drink like a fresh cup of chilled coffee. Very tasty from this unexpected source. Thanks harlequinn's dad for picking up a growler of this! harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Aug 24, 2003 The chocolate roastiness and smooth mouthfeel offer everything I look for in a robust stout. Creamy coffee goodness and a powerful bite in the aftertaste, makes this one very much worth the drive from Boise.
