3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber from Hayduke. We had this together via facebook chat. I rolled my bottle and the result was a very hazy beer. A big off white head fell to leave interesting lacing. The aroma says this is a Cascade bomb. Lots of tropical fruit. That happens to be one of my favorite hops. Pineapple and mango in the flavor. Malts are not really noticed but must be pale. 2/3 of the way through I tasted a hint of spice and was not expecting that. Well done. Nothing fancy here just a lot of classic.

The was a draft pour at the MeCall Brewpub in McCall. The 16 oz glass was a golden amber with a white head and moderate lacing. The nose is caramel malts and citrus, with some pine. Medium in body. Very smooth in the mouth. The flavor is on the intense side for an American Pale Ale, with lots of citrus, pine .and hint of tropical fruit. The finish shows the fruit, and the citrus hangs on in the background. This is a really good American Pale Ale.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Malt and light grapefruit aroma. Malt and grapefruit flavor with light pine. Medium bodied. Malt and grapefruit lingers with light summer fruit and light pine.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Priced at $5... seems high to me for sure... but the brew shows a good white spiderweb lacing after the foamy white head dies back... the beer is clear light copper.
Nose is light citrus hops with a heavier than I would like caramel maltiness.. big diacetyl with warmth.. certainly a flaw that can be worked out in other batches.
Flavor is citrus and light floral hoppiness.. but the finish quickly melts into buttery caramel.. Diacetyl? For sure. I think this time the buttery notes are a yeast derivative and not "quite" a flaw.. but I don’t care for it that much. A big slippery distraction.
Medium body for a 5%ABV brew is accentuated by a light carbonation..
Just not digging this one... I REALLY like the label :-)
