Winterfest 2009. Moderate hops. Brown color. Lots of malt, making this a sweet beer, but well balanced by the hops, giving it a sweet-hoped flavor. Well balanced, smooth palate, low carbonation.

On draught during Winterfest 2009 in St Paul, MN. Pours a hazy dark cola brown brew with a decent off-white head that slowly dissipates to a thin white ring. Aroma of biscuity and toasted dark malt, some chocolate, toffee and a light brown sugar. Taste is medium to full bodied, with flavors of toasted dark malt, chocolate malt, a hint of grapefruit, brown sugar and cotton candy. Finish is semi-dry, smooth, with a mild bitterness that slowly disappears along with a lingering dark malt and grapefruit aftertaste.
