650ml bottle. Lots of light tan foam with aromas of hops and peaches.. Heavy in the glass with a copper almost red colour. Nice smooth flavour that goes down easy.

Tad disappointed with this. I was expecting a more hop driven beer but this was much more malt driven in flavour and aroma. Still a nice beer but not was I expected.

Bomber. Pours muddy brown amber with average-small off-white head and tight lace. Aromas of sweet malts, light grassy tropical citrus hop notes, fig, caramel, pitted fruit and a touch of biscuit and toast. Medium body, medium-high carbonation. The sweetness is well balanced with a generous bitterness, not so much flavour but the finish is lingering light bitterness/flavour and a touch salty and minerally. Nice malty character and unique NZ hop notes.

This is one of those beers that you’d be a bit disappointed to miss out on the last bottle of, but possibly not one that would be your first choice. So a C- level beer that "could try harder" it does what it says on the label, there isn’t a pretence in the description that you agree with because you don’t get it, but because it is what i is.

650ml bottle. The description on the bottle is exactly how this beer smelt and tasted. An enjoyable beer.

Pours lovely red with hoppy spicy notes, rich malt texture and mouthfeel, the hops just don’t quite keep up with this one, hints of diacetyl in the finish but overall a sessionable beer

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Aroma is all sweet , yep biscuity, malt. Light bodied. First mouthful tastes very malt-driven, but after half a glass a light bitterness starts balancing things out a bit, at the expense of thinning out the mouthfeel just a tad too much for this already light ale. By the last 1/3 of the pint it has settled into its stride and is a good meat’n’potatos beer.

Billed as a Kiwi Pale Ale, but I’m not sure what that means. I was expecting something like an APA but turns out to be more of an English style. Deep amber pour with a thin head. Grain and a floral hints on the nose. Plenty of malt in the mouth, with biscuit and bread. Some herbal and light bitterness comes through from the hops. Body is a bit thin and the palate is short. Not too bad, but not what I was expecting.
