Our intriguingly refreshing Stoke Bomber Smoky Ale is built upon a base of Munich and lightly roasted malts. Hints of beechwood smoke reveal themselves between layers of biscuit and dried flowers. The finish is balanced and lingering, with the toasted wood and late addition organic hop tang creating a mysteriously mellow combination. Take one on your next rendezvous.

Restrained aroma in a copper pour. The taste is much the same - with the restraint applied to the smokiness rather than the otherwise nicely balanced taste. Ditto the finish - once again, restrained.

Tasted 1/2/2014. Poured a deep amber colour with an off-white head that diminished qui8ckly to a collar. No lacing. Carbonation low with very small bubbles. Aroma subtly of timber smoke and semi-sweet caramel - pleasant. Taste has a woody smoke flavour stronger than the aroma showed; slight mild bitterness. Smoky aroma and taste to the last sip. Light body. Smooth, slightly dry, and a short smoked wood finish. Quite nice and flavoursome.
