COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We hope you enjoy this Stoke Dark. We make it the old fashioned way and never cut corners. It’s brewed using Nelson’s famous organic hops, premium malt, our own bespoke yeast and 14,000 year old Paleo water (no artificial additivs or colouring). Stoke is tank conditioned over 3 weeks - that’s where the hint of honey and smooth mouthfeel coem from. Next time you’re in Nelson, come and meet the team at our family brewery!

A delightfully rich & full beer that exudes dark chocolate & heady malt. Leaves a nice earthy taste with hints of Xmas fruit mince. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Opaque black beer, small tan head. Crisp palate. Mildly dark malt with molasses. Pretty minerally. Trace of lactose. Semi dry finish. That’s all! It’s okay but a bit too much molasses.

Bottle- pours a dark brown color with a small head that fades quickly to spots of lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, caramel sweetness with a bit of grapefruit in the background. tatse of roasted malt, chocolate, coffee some caramel sweetness with a bit of toffee. Bottle. Pours deep cola brown with ruby highlights and decent light tan head. Aromas of cream, chocolate, caramel and light grassy, tropical hops. Light medium body, crisp carbonation, nice coffee bean acrid bite from the kilned malts - creamy chewy mouthfeel initially making way for a light drinking porter.

330ml dark green bottle into pilsner glass. Pours near jet black with a faint red hue and a decent tan head that laces well. Brown sugar dominates the nose with coffee and faint nutty notes. Similar taste to the nose with a moderate dry hop bitter finish. Smooth mouthfeel with medium body. Nice porter - not too sweet and cloying.
