COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An intensely hoppy, very strong pale ale without the big maltiness and/or deeper malt flavors of an American barleywine. Strongly hopped, but clean, lacking harshness, and a tribute to historical IPAs.

It poured a slightly hazy light orangeish color with a nice off-white head. The aroma was of intense hoppiness. The taste was much better than the aroma. Their best offering of the day. Well done!

An opaque orange beer with a small white head. The aroma is awesome, lots of tropical fruit, mostly pineapple and some apricot. The flavor is very fruity and piney with a very strong alcohol burn.

Tap - small foamy head, medium amber color, big hop aroma and flavor, also big alcohol taste almost mediciny though kind of weird, not the best example of this style for. I usually love these types of beers, but I couldn’t even finish this one, felt like I was drinking cough syrup the whole time.

GABF 2011. clear brilliant gold with a big frothy white head. Aroma of apricot and juicy pineapple, a subtle sweet malty backbone behind it. Tastes like it smells, but with some added citrus rind. Huge body with an ok linger, loads of citrus, a lot of floral hops, a wee bit of herbal hops, a whole lotta maltiness, some toffee, pretty sweet, with a charming balance all around, but slightly more bitter. Pretty boozy for a "pale ale" though. All around pretty good.

Tap @ Mccoys. Burnt orange appearance with a fluffy, ivory head. Potent resiny, lightly piney, pale malty nose. Pretty potent resiny, somewhat citrusy hoppy, quite sweet malty flavor. Sweet malty aftertaste. I’m not sure but this may need a new listing since this isn’t the 2009 edition.

BATCH #6 ..drank May 25th 2011.. . Had through a draft system, through a tap into a glass then over my lips and into my liver .. . Pours a deep tan, great foam .. . sap, resin, cookie, and a good dose of malt .. . a full double pale, and quite nice and easy to drink .. . Burkina Faso? Disputed Zone? Who called all these weird places? -- Quiet, it might be you! I can’t remember.

Clear golden with a creamy white head. Big hoppy caramel aroma and taste with grassy citrus notes and candy sugar to the finish. Sticky palate.

Sampled at the 2009 Parkville Microbrew Festival. Pours a slightly hazy light amber with a medium off-white head. The aroma consists of an intense malty syrupy banana bread. It smells way better than it tastes because the beer is overhopped and under malted. The palate consists of a harsh hop burn. Not my favorite beer at Parkville.

Draft at the Parkville Microfest 2009. Bright, citric aroma, sweet, flora, fresh and leafy with a modicum of malt sweetness in the background, plenty of lemon and grapefruit and lightly toasty malts. Hazy medium golden color, head is fine, slight and lasting. Flavor profile is largely hoppy and generously bitter, more citrus and light malt sweetness, honey and pine with a well-hopped, mildly alcoholic finish. . Slightly oily palate, effervescence is medium, body is very full. Pretty tasty!
