Sample at the brewpub. This brew is a dark brown color with a medium thin and foamy beige head that recedes steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted coffee and chocolate malt. Medium body with flavors of toasted malt, coffee and bittersweet chocolate. The finish is roasty and smooth with a chocolate aftertaste. Decent overall.

Draft @ McCoys Public House, Kansas City .. . Pours a deep purple brown, really good head .. . goro’s a dick .. . light roast and burnt molasses .. . slick mouthfeel .. . well balanced and pretty enjoyable .. . So down there in, say, Argentina, or... Rand McNally, all their water runs backwards?
--Uh huh. In fact, in Rand McNally, they wear hats on their feet
and hamburgers eat people.

Probably the best draft when we visited. Dark brown color with a nice tan head and thick, curtains of lace. Coffee and roasted nuts in the aroma. The flavor and mouthfeel seriously reminded me of chocolate milk (not milk chocolate). Finished with a nice, light bitterness from roasted malts. Well done.

On tap at the brewpub. Nitro pour leaves a very deep brown, mostly black body with a finger-width, dense and creamy, tan head that dissipates slowly and leaves plenty of lacing. Aroma is light with some dark chocolates and a lighter roast, earth, and caramel. Flavor is better. Lots of caramel with a solid mixture of dark and milky chocolates up front. A hint of acidity in a very rich middle before a nice, balancing roast comes in to finish this off along with a light, earthy bitterness. Fairly lengthy aftertaste following a full, creamy body and soft, creamy, light-moderate carbonation. Very easy drinking and balanced. Overall, a solid oatmeal stout. Very smooth with plenty of flavor. Lots of rich malts and a nice, velvety roast. Good beer.
