3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at the brewpub. Malty, fruity aroma, toasty, mildly citric and sweet with notes of red apple skin, earthy hop and faint cellar must. Lightly hazy copper color with a slight, fading head. Flavor is gently bitter to start, turning sweeter and fruity with toasty caramel malts, and finishing with a dose of faintly spicy, citric hop flavor. Some lingering spruce. Semi-dry, moderately carbonated palate, body is medium. Certainly a passable example of the style, has some hop to it.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Shaker pour at the brewpub. Has a clear reddish copper color and a lightly sticky lacing. Aroma is lightly fruity hops with a clean, lightly dusty maltiness. Taste has the hops turned down a bit but and more grassy as well. Pretty simple stuff, hop centric.
