This beer rocks. Other Ratebeerians’ descriptions will have to suffice as I didn’t take notes while enjoying this beer. I love Scotch Ale and I love this one. You won’t be disappointed if you like other Scottish Ales that I have rated highly.

Half pint from keg at The Dome in Edinburgh. Deep, dark brown body with a thin, nitro creamy head. Plain malty smell. Smooth and careful hints of caramel malt in flavour. Soft carbonated. Clean tasting. A bit thin palate, but alright as an aperitif [13.11.2008].

Very easy to drink, and looks quite nice out of a nitro tap. however it doesnt seem to taste of anything.

Can. Deep brown with a slight, off-white head. I drank a lot of this as a student because it was cheap rather than good. Totally inoffensive with a vaguely malty aroma and flavour, and an industrial metallic finish.

Amber colour with a small dense off white head. Malty, sweet aroma with caramel and fruit notes. Malty, light smoked flavor with caramel and fruit notes.
