KEG at andersons ... Purly a tick as they had nothing worth drinking. BUT 1.85 a pint turned into 1.05 for a 1/2 !!!!... Utter crap... need i say more... ok ... crisp amber so it looked ok ... medium white head ... no nose at all !!! ... odd metalic artificial metalic hop ness... NO malt character ... just so 1d... Why Keg is so poor compaired to Cask...

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: FEB 17, 2004 Tap. Slight malty aroma. Light amber color. The barmaid has some trouble pouring this beer. Rather sweet and sticky with some mango fruit. Only very slight bitter aftertaste. A bit bland and fizzy with a somewhat watery aftertaste.

Bottled, pasteurised, 500ml. Brown amber with fizzed head, highly carbonated. Thin and sharp beer with tinny, caramel notes and underlying cardboard. Some malty notes on the finish. Also had this a lot in the past as Youngers IPA which I remember as being much better than this.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Smooth... In fact - too smooth. Not much in the way of bitterness or dryness to finish. Unspectacular.

Full pint from keg, outdoor at the County Hotel Bar in North Berwick. Lasting nitro creamy, white head. Clear dark amber coloured body. Poor lacing. Malty nose with a touch of resin. Mild malt accented taste of caramel and dark fruits. Malty ending with distant bitterness. Medium to thin bodied. Ok (08.08.2013).

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Keg at Thomson’s, Edinburgh. It pours deep amber-brown with a medium creamy beige head. The nose is toasted brown bread, creaminess, earth and leather. The taste is creamy, toast, watery, earth, very mild bitterness and brown bread with a short, dry finish. Light-medium body, fine carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Looks good and mouth-feel is decent, not much taste though... Fine for chasing a whisky.
