Dark robust and chewy, keeps its head well and needs to be savoured. One of my all-time favourites.

suprchunk (802) - Heinsberg, GERMANY - FEB 26, 2011
Dark amber, roasty brown. Big light tan/creamy head that leaves ample lacing. Slightly phenolic. Well not slightly, much phenols. Caramel, and cotton candy. Sweet, with a sour twang that just doesn’t seem like it belongs. Medium-bodied, but that twang won’t go away. Not what Scottish Ale should even be close to resembling. Poor example. Steer clear. Not very good for any style, let alone an Scottish Ale. Not impressed, and won’t ever be buying again.

Deep brown ale that is actually quite light and frothy. Sweet malt dominates with a contrasting slighty sour finish.
