Without a doubt my favourite commercially produced beer, it’s great. The taste is dominated by roasted malts and caramel followed by a fruity aftertaste. It is very drinkable and can be taken all night. Ideal session beer and nice on it’s own. Try mixing this with a sweetheart stout to give a great version of a sweet black n tan.

larsga (4435) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 31, 2008
Big offwhite lasting head of unevenly sized bubbles. Deep brown body with fast carbonation. Earthy perfumy malt aroma with papery, peppery notes. Faint ripe fruit and cinnamon notes. Dry papery roasty malt taste with a wheaty dusty swetness. Sharpish dusty mouthfeel. Dry metallic roasty papery aftertaste. Somewhat unclean in the palate, and the sweetness cloys a bit. It’s decent, though. (0.5l can from Centra.)

Can. Two-finger creamish near-white head leaving fine laces. Clear, bright brown colored body. Modest aroma of light sweet malts and earthy hops with a hint of cardboard. Taste is unrefined sugary malts and harsh bittering hops. Light body. Bitter-sourish finish. Unimpressive.

No aroma. Color was golden however was not rich in any way. Head was frothy and tasteless. Taste was non-existent except for a bitter taste of disproportionately mixed ingredients.
