COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Available filtered and pasteurised in keg, can & bottle.
Production moved to Bedford in late 2011 following the acquisition of the McEwan’s and Younger’s brands by Wells & Youngs from Heineken.
Amber colour with a notably thick head. A sweet, spicy aroma with a hoppy finish.

This wasn't my best experience with a Scottish beer. Acrid in flavor with a horrible aftertaste. I had a hard time believing I was 1) having a truly bad experience with a keg beer and 2) paying $4 a pint for something that tastes like milwaukee's best ice. Oh well, you live you learn eh?

I actually prefer this beer when it’s ice cold. I find it nicer from a can than a bottle. It’s sold in some bars here but not that nice on draught. An almost fruity beer.

Without a doubt my favourite commercially produced beer, it’s great. The taste is dominated by roasted malts and caramel followed by a fruity aftertaste. It is very drinkable and can be taken all night. Ideal session beer and nice on it’s own. Try mixing this with a sweetheart stout to give a great version of a sweet black n tan.

No aroma. Color was golden however was not rich in any way. Head was frothy and tasteless. Taste was non-existent except for a bitter taste of disproportionately mixed ingredients.

McEwans is one of my Favourites, but don’t serve it too cold as it can become bitter in flavour.

Very malty - giving a good taste. Best consumed on draught as can version can be rather tinny.
