Ole_R (1279), Oslo, Norway May 16, 2008 Can. Two-finger creamish near-white head leaving fine laces. Clear, bright brown colored body. Modest aroma of light sweet malts and earthy hops with a hint of cardboard. Taste is unrefined sugary malts and harsh bittering hops. Light body. Bitter-sourish finish. Unimpressive.
gunnfryd (2743), Kristiansand, Norway Aug 24, 2008 Can. Dark golden / brown with an off-white head. Aroma is fruit, malt, apple, hop. Flavour is fruit, malt, hop, dry, apple. Ordinary beer. Skinnyviking (2726), Copenhagen, Denmark Aug 17, 2008 Can. I still get amazed about how many beers I have tasted before but not rated. This is one example. High flouffy but lasting white head. Clear dark brown body with a lot of bubbles. Aroma sweet caramel honey with a hint of nuts. Flavor very sugary and toffee dominated with little hops bitterness, low carbonation but a long caramel sweet aftertaste. Bragesnak (1335), Aarhus, Denmark Aug 3, 2008 From COOP, Aucterader, Scotland.
Canned, 250708.
Amber with white head. Aroma of caramel. Flavor of toffee and malt. Medium bitterness. Bullit (580), Glasgow, Scotland Jun 8, 2008 Amber colour, firm white head. Aroma has caramel and sugar malts. Tast is of roasted malts and some faint hops. Finishes bitter. Not very nice. kmacphail (37), Isle of Lewis, Scotland Jun 4, 2008 Without a doubt my favourite commercially produced beer, it’s great. The taste is dominated by roasted malts and caramel followed by a fruity aftertaste. It is very drinkable and can be taken all night. Ideal session beer and nice on it’s own. Try mixing this with a sweetheart stout to give a great version of a sweet black n tan.
