2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
500ml bottle. Pours a clear copper amber, with a small off-white head, which does not last all that well nor leave much by way of lacing. The aroma is mainly nutty and biscuit malt, without a lot else going on. Very mild floral hops lead through a touch of honey to a sweetish mix of nutty and biscuit notes, with more honey in the finish. This is not a terrible beer, simply very bland. A bit of hops presence to balance the sweeter malt flavours would do it a world of good.

1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
Clear dark amber color with medium but quickly diminishing off white foam. Aromas, off malt, bit metallic and in general smells like an empty can. Palate, light body with watery texture with very weak malty aftertaste. Tastes of water and bit of malt, if anythign bit on bitter side if you can call it that. Overall, tastes like cheap pale lager just with nicer color, quite awful beer. Also as now half way through and when you take big gulps to finish it quicker you get some light caramel notes on the taste

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
IIRC I last had this at the Queenscliff Hotel in the late 80s - it’s been through _how_ many owners since then? Can. Clear amber with a slice of cream head. Aroma of toffee, flowers, boiled sweets, hints of pepper and mace. Light bodied, moderate carbonation. It’s a little dead feeling but refreshing. Mild grainy taste with some dilute caramel flavour, boiled sweets and firm bitterness. A pleasant surprise.
