Deep red-brown colour. Rich aroma of dried fruits and a scent of alcohol. Flavour is too sweet and the alcohol is too prominent in this beer.

Bottle....medium brown with just scattered off white bubbles....smells of sweet scotch mingled with delicate malts....taste is very similar to aroma yet sweeter...and with an added saltiness in the mid palate...lively slightly creamy body and a light boozy finish

Bottle. Pours a brown body with a creamy off white head. Vinous sweet malt character with licorice light toasted malt, a note of peat and vanilla with a nice etoh warming.

6-pack from Total Wine, River Edge, NJ...bottle pours dark brown with an off-white head...smell is malty with dark fruits, raisin...taste is much of the same with a hint of cocoa...too sweet, kind of reminded me of a Grimbergen Double...cant say I liked it much.

Poured into a nonic. Clear mahogany with a thin ecru head that shrivels into a nebulous cap. Aroma is standard maltiness with a touch of smoke/peat. Not especially robust for an 8% beer. Flavor is molasses, toffee, pepper, and smoke. Alcohol is apparent but not in a bad way. Body is about medium thickness, that is to say, too thin for the style. Aroma and flavor are also too thin for the style. Wee unheavy?

Pours a beautiful dark amber with small tan head floral and other sweet notes in aroma great flavor caramel roast floral sweet bitter going down a great brew

The aroma is heavy sweet malt with a touch of the alcohol pushing through
Pours a nice dark ruby brown with a long lasting tan head and lacing all the way down the glass
The taste is very creamy and smooth sweet and malty

12 fl oz bottle. Pours dakr brown and clear with a slowly collapsing light tan head. Mild spiced, breadish and light fruity aroma. Flavour is dark fruity and roasted malty. Light fruity and roasted malty finish. Nice and smooth.
