Deep brown color. A chocolate and caramel body with a lingering sweet finish.

Beautiful medium amber color with a slightly off-white head. The high alcohol content makes it very difficult for me to discern aromas and flavours. In my humble opinion, nothing offensive but I thing there are much better ales out there without the strong alcohol taste.

The alcohol is definitly there, heavy heavy malt. A bitter chocolate there too, but a pour nontheless.

Really dark, great head. Malty. Very malty, and has a bitter aftertaste. I can see how it’s good, but frankly I find it really powerful, almost too powerful to be really enjoyed.

The quintessential Scottish ale. Malt and black bread with an alcohol undertone. Fookin’ aye!

Dark coffee colored with a tan head. Aroma is slightly sweet, taste is more malty with some fruitiness. Alcohol taste is present, but not dominant.

Bottle. Deep ruby color, thin white head that disappears quickly. Aroma is subtle malt, pine, and caramel. Flavor is pine, caramel, and molasses. Pretty smooth and tastey with a nice alcohol warmth at the end. This is a good scotch ale.

Deep brown color with burgundy highlights. Nice tan head. Aroma of sweet malt and chocolate. More of the same in the taste. Nice caramel flavors. Long lingering finish with notes of chocolate and a bit of spiciness. Alcohol noticeable but not overly so. Tasty.
