Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a thin tan head. The aroma has a little malt with some chocolate coming through. The flavor was nice and malty. An excellent balanced beer that was surprisingly easy to drink. The alcohol is hidden well.

Pours dark brown / copper with off-white head that goes down fairly quick. Aroma has light breadiness with caramel and a bit of toffee. Medium mouthfeel with some oily aspects. Moderate soft carbonation. Taste has lots of toffee and caramelled malts - very rich. Finish has more sharpness and a bit of alcohol presence. Nice enjoyable beer.

Poured a dark brown-black with mahoganey edges. Head was minimal and lacing only fair. Aroma was buttery with some roasted chocolate present. Flavor was malty rich and sweet with much of the same with a medium and satifsying mouthfeel (very little carbonation).

Bottle poured a clear dark brown with a lasting tan head. Aromas of light smoke, carmel and some hints of fruitiness. Palate was light bodied and slightly tart. Flavors of light smoke, carmel, toffee and a bit of grape with a smooth finish.

A very strong tasting ale, with a sweet coffee taste. It has a very heavy body and is a filling beer, like a meal in a bottle. Not something that I could really enjoy.

Aroma of concord grape? Some sort of sweet fruit. Very deep ruby against a strong light. Not so thick as expected. Not much bubble either. Definitely hop. The fruit continues, and there are touches of coffee and overall molasses. Something of a nasty mineral touch in the finish. Interesting. Very.

Bottle. Pours a dark bloody hue of amber with a dense khaki head. The aroma is more vinous than I expected; there is a very distinct sour grape presense, alongside some caramel and roasted barley. The flavor is an interesting combination... roasted barley, caramel, and a hint of berries. It then fades into a sweet chocolate with a faint coffee hint, then a rather dry whiskey finish. A bit of alcohol is evident in the aftertaste. All these flavors blend quite smoothly, really. I’m enjoying this beer.
