COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The pride of McGuire's! Our red ale was the first beer we brewed and remains our most popular. Beer gurus Michael Jackson and Fred Eckhardt have both praised its smooth and malty character. N.Brewer and Hallertau Hops are balanced by two row and caramel malts in our best selling ale.

My second from the pub and another light one. This was amber with a reddish tint. The aroma had some roast malts and a bit of hops. The flavor was similar. Nice clean finish. Quite easy drinking.

good beer but i was expecting more. it has a nice dark red-brown appearance and by the time i received my beer, the head was nonexistent. other that that, it had a good balance of malt and hops with a clean finish.

The pride of McGuire’s makes me think I don’t need to seek out anything else of from them. Not bad but certainly nothing special. Malty, somewhat sweet, better than the typical macro... Yeah, whatever.

Draft. Pours reddish amber with a thin off-white head. Not much aroma -- a bit of sweet, caramel malt. Flavor is generically malty, a touch of nuttiness and caramel. Slightly sour and metallic. Pretty dry finish. Medium mouthfeel.

Bottle. Pours a clear amber with off-white head. Aroma of faint caramel and grass. Flavor has notes of caramel, faint hop citrus, grass, slight metallic, very light sweetness, earthy subtle bitter. Light body with medium-high carbonation.....overall, decent.

10/20/10. 12oz bottle courtesy Aloysius. Clear light red pour, almost brown, with a small off-white head that sticks. Very nutty aroma with plenty of sour and a hint of chocolate and metal. Big bitter nutty flavor with a huge dash of sour lemons with tones of chocolate and leafy hops. Eh.
