COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ruby Chestnut in color and not as heavy as our stout. McGuire's porter will help what ales ya after a hard days work. Chocolate Malt balanced with Willamette Hops gives this full-bodied ale its smooth, distinct flavor.

Pours clear medium brown, little head but vigorously carbonated. Nice nutty and mild roasty notes. A pretty light porter (closer to a brown), but a good beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at McGuires. Nose is roast, smoke, some cocoa, and earthy hops. Pour is dark brown with an off white head. Flavor is similar, with tons of cocoa and almost smokey notes. Not bad at all.

On draft at McGuire’s. Pours a medium-dark porter brown with an off-white head. Nose is roasted malts, big cocoa, and big chocolate with earthy bitterness. Flavor follows: roasted malts, earth, cocoa, and some mild bitterness. Light to medium in body and just a really nice porter overall.

Tap at the Destin brewpub. Dark brown pour although a bit translucent. Roasty aroma and flavor. Pretty nice brew.

Good roasty aroma. In my opinion, it could us more complexity in the flavors. Finishes kind of burnt. Good though.

Came in a standard U.S. pint glass. Dark brown color with no head. It had a slight coffee smell. Behind that was an unpleasant sour smell. Tasted like a strong, bitter coffee, then watery. A little roasted malt. The unpleasant smell came forward as a bitter/sour taste. Lighter body and low carbonation. A real disappointment. Watery taste with an off-taste. I asked someone else in my party what they thought of it and they shared the same type of off-taste traits.

Tap at McGuire’s in Destin - not a porter fan, but this one was OK considering - dark color, mild roast flavor, not overpowering, mild chocolate malt flavor
