COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ruby Chestnut in color and not as heavy as our stout. McGuire's porter will help what ales ya after a hard days work. Chocolate Malt balanced with Willamette Hops gives this full-bodied ale its smooth, distinct flavor.

On tap at Destin brewpub. Darkish brown pour, kind of light for a porter, very little head. Sweet nutty aroma, light roast, not much else. Nice body, but taste lacks any appreciable roast character. Some slight fruity sweetness on the finish. Too bland for me.

tap at Mad Anthony Oktoberfest - Pours brown, not even dark brown really, which is odd for a porter. There’s a thin off-white head and a light, roast malt aroma. The flavor is mainly just easy going roast malt with some hops coming through in the finish. Not bad, but it’s less than impressive for a porter.

2/3/11. On tap at the Destin location. Brown pour (red with light) under a small khaki head that fades fast. Funky sour bitter infected coffee aroma with lots of cereal grains. Sourish coffee flavor with loads of cereal grains - tastes like I’m eating Wheaties mixed with coffee and a little cough syrup. Meh.

Tap at McGuire’s in Destin - not a porter fan, but this one was OK considering - dark color, mild roast flavor, not overpowering, mild chocolate malt flavor

Dark Brown color. Thin fast fading head. Sweet roasted nut aroma. Roasted malts and more mild nuttiness in the flavor, but that is muted like they brewed the beer then just dumped water in it to "cut" the amount they had. Very watery finish like every beer I tried except the Hefe.

Brown pour, thin head, coffee, chocolate, hoppy and bitter, with a bitter irony aftertaste and kinda watery, didn’t really like this.

This draft brew from a beer festival poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized off-white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a . The almost non-existant aroma was malty. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the start and at the finish. The mild flavor contained notes of mild hops and brown malt. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again.
