Hazy yellow. Aroma is so nice, tart, yeasty, funky, spice. Flavor is such a great mix of tartness, yeast, light malt. Damn good.

A little bit of everything going on here but it all plays together so perfectly. Acidity, slight funk, tart. The best saison I have ever had.

Yellow hazy yellow, light white head. Aroma is light funk. Lactic acidity, light lemon. Taste is very close to the same. Not bad.

Bouteille de 750 ml partagée avec MartinT et Fred82. Merci. (Rating #3936)

750ml bottle thanks to JAXSON.
Appearance : Slightly hazy with medium sized foamy head.
Aroma : Awesome brett with nice tropical fruits. Nice horsey notes with great tartness.
Taste : Lots of brett with light tropical fruits, horse blanket and earthy. Light hops on finish with light bitterness, rather dry. Nice ligit citrusy tartness.
Overall : Very nice beer. Quite complex and rather drinkable. Nice brett on nose and finish. Great depth of flavor even if only 6.5%. Very elegant. Top notch beer. Maybe it’s not exactly to style but I’m not a hardcore fan of the most classic example of the style anyways...

This poured a cloudy straw yellow color with a white head. Aroma was bready, lightt funk, lemons and some citrusy herbal hops. Flavor was an interesting blend between what seemed like a hefeweizen with brett aged on lemon peel. Lots of citrus but very bretty too. Intersting.

Shenandoah Throwdown 2011. Orange yellow pour. Tons of carbonation. Thick fluffy white head. Peppery, earthy and grassy aroma. Dry spicy and peppery flavor. A bit funky with a bitter hoppy finish. Very light and easy to drink, though a bit watery.

My Bottom Line :
Bursting pineapple and citrus fruit frolick around conifer-like wilderness and pedio funk for an effervescent, characterful Wild Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions :
-A slice of foam covers the cloudy pale golden.
-The fruit character is voluble, emulating white grapes and a plethora of tropical fruit.
-Tiny bubbles expand across the palate in great numbers.
-This is obviously dry throughout, yet the overt fruitiness makes you imagine some sweetness early on.
-Doughy yeast and biscuity cereal subtleties can also be perceived.
-Phenols appear in the finish.
-This is very nice, but perhaps linear and not necessarily quaffable for this style.

Bottle.

Many thanks to Armin - turbid golden beer - holy hell, this smells great - loads of pineapple and tropical fruit Brett notes, lavender and other wildflowers, light wheat, moderate funky phenols, a touch of lacto tartness - flavor is bone dry, flinty, with dusty yeastiness, light Brett funk and a lingering hint of lacto tartness that prickles the tongue - bone dry finish - fantastic stuff.

Bottle pours hazy yellow orange with white head, aroma has notes of lots of tropical fruit, with pineapple, pear, apricot, apple, some sour lemon, slight biscuit, touch of hops with a touch of dry yeast notes. Taste is delicious, with notes of lots of tropical but sweet fruit notes compliment the yeast and biscuit notes, finishing nice and dry. Delicious and tasty.
