CPLYFO 750 ml bottle. Pours a nice deep coppery amber with a thin but lasting head. Aroma is big malts- toffee, caramel, some sharp fruitiness, with hints of earth leather, and good raisin and fig fruits as it warms a bit more. Big toffee, and smooth sweet malt flavor, figs, raisin, - fig jam almost, biscuit, and caramel, thins out a bit as it warms and some of the big malts turn to a slick sugary character- brown sugar, turbinado etc. Smooth enough but didn’t hold its big presence. Ok.

Liquid Sunshine V. 750, capped. Great stuff! Crystal clear dark amber with bright caramel highlights. Big sweet fissy, plummy nose, maybe a little boozy. Creamy medium body, maybe a little sticky. Figs, plums, brown apples, and caramel on the mid-palate.

Bottle at Toncatchers T3. Pours a light brown color with a thin wisp of a head. The aroma is sweet with pears and peat. The taste is nutty with hazelnuts and toffee. The palate was smooth. Overall: a very tasty brew but not a great one. If this was a bronze medal winner at GABF then the competition was apparently rather weak.
