A damn good APA. Dark golden pour with a decent white head. Aroma is piney, hoppy, very floral. Flavor is much the same with hops coming out throughout with a good malt backbone holding it’s end up. I took home a growler. Hopefully this beer gets put into regular rotation there as I enjoyed it immensely. Meal tip: Try this beer with some of McKenzie’s salsa and chips. Excellent stuff. Earlier Rating: 3/13/2005 Total Score: 2.8 No aroma to speak of but the flavor swoed up with a nice citrus twist. Hoppy as well but. Middle of the road.

Now called Wicked Will’s. Dark straw pour with medium head. Hoppy aroma, coupled with some floral spices and light fruit. Tastes hoppy, with a firm malt presence, and a good balance. Earlier Rating: 3/30/2004 Total Score: 3.9 A nice pale ale. Very hoppy, with a deep yellow color, and aromas of hops, citrus, and slight honey. Finishes smooth and sweeter than the first taste. Nice.

On tap at McKenzies Brew Pub. I think this may now be called Wicked Wills because that is what they were calling their standard American Pale Ale on the menu. Poured a light amber in color. Floral and citrus aroma. Very grapefruit in the flavor. Some malts coming in at the end. A solid American Pale Ale, but nothing too special.

Part of the sampler. Solid East Coast pale ale. Nothing wrong with it. Above Average.

Typical APA, copper-gold. Nose lightly hoppy, some malts. Flavor is citric then sweet, then hopps reassert at end. Creamily good.

Draught: An ok pale ale. Not hoppy enough to be called an APA. Poured with small creamy white head that did not last. Clear brown/orange/amber color. Smelled toasted. Floral, piney, citrusy hops. Light, earthy yeast. Also tasted of smoke and paper. Medium body but thin texture. Bitter finish. Dry. The 2nd best beer I had there.

Sample at the brewpub. Light amber, no head, sweet citrus nose. Smoky, herbal, hoppy flavors, good body. Not a lot to say I guess...palate fatigue setting in...another decent APA, sigh.

Medium size offwhite head, good lasting lace. Clear gold/copper color, good looking brew. Good spicey hop nose. Medium body, nice mouthfeel. Plenty of hop flavors with a good malt backing. Hops are resiny, moreso as it warms up. Finish is dry with a clean hop flavor. Good drinkin brew! Nice pub also.

Very crisp, very clean, smooth pale ale, a little lighter on the color side as it was a bright copper color, but nicely hopped, spicey aftertaste, very enjoyable APA
