Reserved for the darkest of hearts, McKenzie’s Black Cherry is an inspiration to hard cider - rich amber, full body with a refreshingly sweet cherry finish.

Bottle at Ballydoyle. Pours a dark yellow-green cider color with very little fizz. smell has apple cider and, frankly, some rather industrial cherry flavoring to it. Soldiering on... Taste is more dense apple juice than coffer, I’m afraid. chemical smell of cherry flavoring kind of turns my palate. The server said this was one she recommended this, but it’s too much like an over-flavored apple juice, lacking the delicacy of a craft cider.

From a 12oz bottle. A bit too sweet although it had some tartness. Some nice black cherry in the nose but a bit of candy too. Thin but adequately carbonated body.

Bottle: Slightly hazy gold, thin, quick, white cap. Black cherry, cough syrup aroma. Sweet, black cherry....again, syrupy. Whew....intense sweetness and black cherry taste. Like a cherry coke without the carbonation. Very good...but hyper sweet.

AR: That of cider with the sweetness and distinctiveness of black cherry. AP: Golden-yellow copper with bubbles lining the inside of my tulip. T: Lots of black cherry in this, that is more prevalent than the cider. It is quite sweet, but the cider is running strong underneath. P: Smooth with no carbonation that I’ve felt. O: Good, but I will say that I’m surprised that RB has this available for rating, giving the strength of the Black Cherry here. A bit sweet though.

Great for a cider change. Very sweet. Maybe for dessert. Not everyday, not a beer by traditional thought.

Bottle. My wife ordered this and insisted I give it a try. Poured almost clear with no head. Sweet cherry aroma. Sweet and overly tart cherry flavor that for me, was a bit overwhelming. She loved it though.

Solid cherry flavor, nicely set between sweet and tart, pure clear pour, no head, nice aroma. Thanking my sister in law by drinking all of hers :-).

This looks like cider and smells like Cherry Pepsi. It is golden orange in color and maybe slightly cloudy w/ a faint wisp of just a few teeny bubles for a head. It has an exaggerated cherry flavor in the nose and its sweetness emphasizes this. A bit of sweet red apple comes out once tasted. This is bit full bodied and combined w/ the sweetess and very mild carbonation, it comes off a bit heavy. This does OK as maybe a superior quality soda pop but really doesn’t have much going on as a cider.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this cider poured a yellow-gold color with a small white head that faded quickly and left no lacing. The aroma was black cherry soda water. The flavor was tangy black cherry soda water. Long finish. Light body. Ok.

sample. out of control. What adding cherries to cider? Mind blown. ITs ok, tastes like cherry pie. and apples. Apple cherry pie.
