2013-04-13. Crisp pale yellow body, no head. Aroma is pleasantly fruity, apples, muted alcohol. Flavour is similar, fruity apple, zippy green apple accents. Average palate softly carbonated. Decent, enjoyable. Bottle shared by DuctTape

bottle. Pale straw with minimal head. Both tart and sweet, but not much complexity.

Bottle graciously presented as a benchmark of humility by UDBeernut. I could not agree more with your rating. While there is a discernible difference from the normal cider, the green apple quickly descends to absurdity of super sugary grape juice blah. On the label it states,: "an American Tradition" I suppose this is true if you believe in sugar subsidies. I’m glad it wasn’t too hot out lately (-9) or I may have slipped into a diabetic coma. I am thankful that I did not have to play UNO as well. Its only fun when your 6 year old niece likes to try and cheat and take two turns at once...then its cute...but only then.

This one was consumed while ducking my family playing a game of UNO. For those familiar with the game, the winner gets rid of all their cards first. As with this one, its dealt a bad hand and is difficult to work your way out as other players continue to pile on your shitty hand. Yes green apple is there... As are other apple flavors and aroma. But is also an element of unfermented grape juice, which strikes me the same way a draw 4 card is dropped on an unsuspecting combatant on the verge of victory. Bubbly and generally sweet, this one is for the birds.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 j12601 (5722) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - NOV 21, 2012
Bottle shared with the wife. Pours a clear golden straw color with no head. Big sweet apple on the nose, a little hint of tartness and young green apple skin. Medium bodied, sweet, but not as sweet as the original. Dries out rather quickly and shows some very nice soft touches of yeast. Very faint tartness on the finish, but it’s rather fleeting.

bottle - Pours yellow-green and clear with no head and has a tart green aple aroma. The flavor is of tart green apples with an almost puckery finish. It’s light bodied and overall okay but I liked their regular hard cider more.

(bottle - 12 oz) Clear gold pour with a fizzy white head. Mild aroma of apple juice mixed with a splash of green apple Jolly Ranchers. Dry apple flavor with a very nice natural apple tartness that’s not overly sweet. Dry finish with almost no aftertaste.

12oz bottle poured into snifter. Saw the entire McKenzie line at my local beer store I decided to grab them all and start with this one. Nice aroma of granny smith apple! The sour tartness really came through in this one. Very spot on for a green apple cider.
3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 cheap (3410) - Cheap Lager in Western, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 25, 2012
From a bottle looks like pale lager. Smell is like my homemade cider, somewhat dull apple and vinegar, not real attractive for a cider. Taste is better than smell, quite tart initially and I was expecting some super sweetness but it is not. However, there is enough in there to be able to tell this is not fermented dry. Not bad overall, has some of that waxy ice cider feel to it on the finish.
