Quite good. Reminds me of a warm cider. Honey, apple, cinnamon, nutmeg. Very warm and enticing aromas and flavours.

Handbottled. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small bubbly head. Aroma is spiced, medium dry and honey herbal. Smooth sweet, fruity and mild spiced flavoured. Floral and honey. Fruity sweet impression into a medium dry and spiced finish.

Amber color, bright. Aroma of mulled cider: stewed apple and cinnamon. Semi sweet mouthfeel; if it has mead flavor, that would be hidden by the spices; it has nevertheless a fresh lemony character, and decent acidity level.
Overall, not a real mead, but a pleasant drink.

Clear burnt orange color. Fruity aroma. Some clove. Slight sourness. Very sweet flavour with a bit more clove. Tart. Much too sweet for me, but the flavour is pleasing and it makes a nice change.

UPDATED: NOV 28, 2011 Bottle shared with northropfrye. Taste of honey infused with cloves that hit you after. It’s refreshing and smooth. I thought it would be heavier. Surprisingly palatable.

UPDATED: JAN 13, 2013 Bottle in snifter. Wonderfully spicy aroma. Clear copper appearance. Sweet honey taste. My first mead so I can’t compare it to anything. I was worrying it was going to be too sweet like a Port or something, but this is quite nice.

A delightfully spiced mead with clove and cinnamon notes. Thoroughly smooth and delicate on the palette. Highly recommended for Australian mead enthusiasts.

700mL bottle, poured into a whiskey glass. served at room temperature. Pale yellow. Nil carbonation, aroma is of spices and currants: perhaps cinnamon. Palate is smooth and warming. the taste is sweet, like honey. acetic, a little thin. dissipating finish, yet warming. Dilute finish.

Bottle, found by Parksy, God knows where. Pours a rich looking deep golden, completely still. Aroma is intensely spicy-- heaps of cloves especially-- long with floral honey and wax, like birthday candles. I guess honeycomb would be most accurate. Sticky sweet syrupy palate, intensely spicy, rich with honey. Wow, this is a big, sticky, spicy old-school mead!
