2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Mild take on the style by any interpretation. Buzzy metal flavours and old skool hops show some early promise but soon fades away. Hard to see a compelling case.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Faint golden, tuft white head. Light melon and faint orange. No firm anything here, simple bitter and faded malt. Decently carbonated but finishes silvery bitter at best.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
on tap at the local taphouse in sydney. amber with next to no head, as sydney pub culture demands. aroma of white grape, orange rind; light hop character - low bitterness, lychee sweetness. pleasant anyway

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Really citrusy, but balanced beer. Not as bitter as American IPAs. Probably because most of us Australians have a phobia of hops. Nice stuff though.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml bottle. Poured a lively, clear amber with a firm and lasting off-white head that left a scattered, soapy lace. Fragrant nectarine, orange marmalade and peach aromas with a caramel malt sweetness. More inclined towards nutty and bready malts to taste but with plenty of fruit qualities on offer here too. Light to medium body though slightly hollow in the mid-palate. Medium carbonation and a lengthy but modestly intense finish of zesty, pithy hops and tangerine.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a lightish amber with a fine white head. Nose is interesting for an IPA. Honey, raisin, candied orange. Flavor is candied orange, burnt sugar, a little bitterness on the finish. Slightly thin and watery body. Interesting aroma and flavor. I’d love to see this aroma and flavor profile with some more hoppiness and body.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUL 12, 2014 Banana, bread, coffee, fried tomato and bacon is what I had for breakfast. This IPA on the other hand is a very nice beer seems strong but that could be due to lack of sleep because my early morning presence at the Anzac day service. I don’t like the label that much - polka dots not too becoming. Actually a lovely beer, I haven’t experienced many IPAs but this is this best so far without having to spend too much money. Great hops/bitterness/colour and drinkability without being too weak. Good choice this one if you are in OZ and budget conscious. Recent slight rate down as I found James Squire Hop Thief 6 as good if not better at a considerably cheaper price.

Great tasting beer. Not as strong as other IPA’s. Good color. Will buy this beer again.
