Commercial Description:
Look for this on the nitro tap. It's a medium-bodied ale in the style of an 80 shilling Scottish brew. Malt is the dominant characteristic with a touch of peat smoked malt finished with Golding hops.

Nitro draught at the brewpub. Clear ruby color with foamy nitro head that laced the glass. Dominating, distinct malty caramel aroma accented by sweet cream. The caramel came out again in the flavor along with subdued cherry candy and a touch of smoke. Very tasty.

Sample at Dad Watson’s. Fairly clear amber, light tan head, very good lacing. Aromas of biscuits and honey. Crackerlike flavor with musty cellar and peaches. Light palate. Mild bitter finsih and minerally aftertaste.

Sampled @ Oak Hills Brewpub. Clear dark red. Sweet cherry wood nose, light body with a smooth and sweet scotch, berry and a little dry and starchy finish.

Tap @ Oake Hills McMens
Huge creamy off-white head & sheets of lacing. The aroma has some earthy hops & some noticable smoke. The flavor is creamy with some light beechwood smoke & other base malts, light fruity bitterness. Rolls over the tongue. To compare to Schlenkerla it’s about 20% of the smoke level.
