McMenamins Belgian Strong Ale

Oak Hills Brewpub, January 2005. Sweet plums, cherries and candy sugar in the nose, notes of belgian yeast, bready and sweet. Flavor is a little prickly on the tongue, dates, wood, sweet syrupy maple and plum... too sweet actually. Unbalanced way over on the sweet side... sugar everywhere. Medium thick texture, oily. Finish is sweet brown sugar and plum. Appearance is a murky medium brown with a small tan head.
