On nitro at Zeus Cafe. Amber with creamy white head. Light floral aroma. Flavor is sweetish caramel with harshish fruit and floral accompaniments. Not overly dry.

On nitro tap. Nice creamy head really adds to a style that in this case is more straightforward than groundbreaking. Good malt taste.

From the McMenamins in Mill Creek. Translucent orange witih a moderate white head. Aroma is bready malt, fruity apricot, and citrus hops. Flavor is toasty, bready malt with a mild hop bite. A little bland for the style, but not bad.

On tap. Visited more than one McMenamins and tasted more than one of thier brews. Unfortunately I do not remember the details so I am entering this primarily as a record of having tasted them. Hopefully I will make it back out to a McMenamins again someday and get better notes.

On tap at the Spar in Olympia, WA. Pours a mahogany brown color with a medium tan head that stays around for a while. Aroma is floral with citrus as well. Flavor has malts up front, but the hops gives it sweet/bitter finish. Good brew, but I prefer Hammerhead, which I think it resembles in some ways. I’d like to pair this beer with barbeque chicken, grilled corn on the cob and roasted potatoes.
