COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A classic Northwest pale ale and McMenamins top selling beer. This rich chestnut colored gem is a model of harmony between hops and malted barley. Hammerhead's signature Cascade hop nose and intense hopped flavor blend nicely with the caramel tones from the crystal malt. This beer has a vocal following. To run out is an unforgivable sin. Malts: Pale Malt; Crystal Malt Hops: Cascades Specifications: Original Gravity: 1.056; Terminal Gravity: 1.010; Alcohol by Weight: 4.7% Calories/pint: 241

Tap @ Blue Moon in Portland. Good hop/malt balance. Solid pale ale. Thick enough to make it interesting.

Oh my god... I love this beer. Everything about it is great except for the smell of my empty pint glass after I finished drinking it. I could drink hammerhead as water and be a happy man.

A cloudy colored ale w/ a hoppy flavor. It has a large tan head. Very nice, drinkable beer.

Zesty aroma a telling precursor to equally robust hoppy flavor. Appearance a cloudy copper color with a relatively weak head--still, not bad-looking...Flavor features strong hop profile, undergirded by enough malt presence to provide a slightly sweet counterbalance and nice mouthfeel. Finish is mildly hoppy and tangy. Solid American ale...

Great!!! Has an almost fruity quality to it, and the aroma is like candy. Medium head, and classic pale ale coloring. I suggest buying as much as possible. My new fave.

Very hoppy. Not a bad land though. smooth and easy to drink. Not quite as carbonated as other McMenamins beers. This is a good thing.

A nice ale made nicer by having the pub two blocks from work.

Full bodied, dark ale. Packs a punch. Hopped well, but subtle in flavor.

Unexpectedly, this cloudy amber beer is pungent with the aroma and taste of hops. Pleasantly smooth with a thoroughly zesty hoppiness, Bit of a sour note on the finish, but an excellent beer.
