Salem, Or - on tap at McMenamins Thompson Brewery and Public House. Slight haze to the light copper pour, slight off white head. Aroma of raspberry tang, some earthy essence. Nice fruitiness, light sourness, raspberry makes its presence known, some melon rind in the back end. Crisp mouthfeel.

On draft. Light salmon-pink color. The raspberries come through on the aroma and definitely on the palette. A pleasant drink and fit for the hot days of summer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Cloudy golden amber color with a thin head. Very fruity aroma and flavor. The sweetness is startling at first, but it is well balanced. My only complaint is that the raspberry flavor overpowers any other malt or yeast flavors, but it doesnít matter. This is still a pleasant ale all around.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap @ McMenamins Barley Mill. Hazed orange-pink-red pour with a creamy white head. Bready malt mixed with slightly tangy berry. Dehydrated raspberry and some pretty decent cereal notes. The flavor is kind of tangy and also a bit sweet. Maybe some vanilla and bread dough. A little soda-like. Pretty nice.
