Sampled this one on draught at McMenamins Edgefield in Troutdale, OR. This beer pours to a hazy, deep golden to orange color, with a soapy, white head, and a moderate amount of carbonation. The nose on this beer is really excellent, with vibrant citrus aromas of lemon/grapefruit. The palate is firm, with good pale and biscuity malt flavor, with some tangy/candy lemon hop flavors as well. This beer finishes with good pale and biscuity malt up front, then ends with a zesty, tangy, citrus hop bite that lingers. Well done AIPA, with good hop character, yet a very drinkable beer.

Gold or dark yellow, good head. Tons of fresh, almost green hop aroma. Most disappears in the taste and the bitterness isn’t much more than an American Pale Ale. Still, a very nice beer.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: JAN 10, 2008 Had this on tap in Beaverton. Pours a nice hazy golden. Minimal head, but not undercarbonated. Strong palate with a nice biscuity flavor. It also has a grassy flavor that peeks in. I would love to see a DIPA made from this as a basis.

Tap at barley mill. Pours a hazy darke golden amber with a decent foamy beige head. Bright citrusy orange and grapefruit hops. Pinen more grapefruit. Cereal and caramel flavor. Has a nice pine and grapefruit bite. Really nice. Malt profile is a bit muddled, but really nice hop character. A good pint.

A lovely cirus bitter aroma. Flavor is not overly hopped and has a fairly mellos finish, with a bit of hops in the end. Good, just not amazing.

Tap at the Ringlers location. Hazy dark gold pour with a thin white head. Nice resiny citrus hop aroma. Smooth crisp malt with a resiny citrusy hop taste. Nice fresh IPA, otherwise not too distinct.
