3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 TBone (9092) - Pori, FINLAND - JUL 14, 2011
Draught@Mc Menamins Crystal Ballroom, Portland
Dark opaque black color, good creamy beige head. Milky, a bit licoricy aroma with some burned notes. Medium-bodied. Milky, lactose, chocolate, burned malts in the flavor. Reminds me a bit about Mufloni Keirin Stout at home.

22 oz bottle shared by Roonai. Thanks, Sarah! Pours a nice darker blackish hue, perhaps some lighter edges with a cakey greyish head that dies to a thicker film. Laces ok. Aromas are some touches of sweet cocoa, chocolate, and some creamy sweet malts. Touches of caramel, with touches of dryness, soda bread. Light and a bit less intense. Earthy roast, coffee comes into the fold pretty strong with soil, earthy roast, some toast. Initial is medium bodied, a good deal of peanuts, pretzels, and biscuity malts. Decent coffee, with some ok roast, toast, and biscuits. Earthy malts, touches of roast grow. Peanuts and nuts, with soil, roast, touches of chocolate and coffee grows stronger into this ordeal. Perhaps this is a touch infected, a dash of red fruit, berry, and faint tartness grows a touch. Overly carbonated, as the foam keeps creeping up the bottle. Some decent brettiness grows a bit. Finish is a bit telltale with a faint metallic essence, toast and roasty earthy coffee. Strange, underbodied. Not your typical stout. It’s not bad for likely being infected, but it’s a bit strange.
4.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20 Cybercat (1732) - Georgia, USA - JUL 1, 2011
Comes out of the tap an opaque chocolaty sable with a thick, fine-bubbled tan head that sticks around a while and leaves some heavy lacing. Rich, smoky, chocolaty aroma has undertone of quality coffee and hint of licorice. Flavor fills the mouth with fine roast coffee, chocolate, molasses and even hoppy tones as well as a licorice hint. Thick, smooth, oily texture has some fizz and leaves behind a nice smoky tingle.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Hophazard (193) - San Francisco, California, USA - MAR 7, 2011
Roasted malt is faint on the aroma. A very deep hue of brown with garnet edges and a beige head. Chocolate, leather and alcohol mingle. Finish has a bitterness that lingers. Creamy velvety mouthfeel. A very enjoyable yet drinkable stout that is sessionable and not too bold in any direction.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 cmonster (608) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JAN 29, 2011
Bomber served in a Guinness pint. Pours dark brown-black in color with a short light brown head. Short retention and minimal lacing. Nose is a little funky honestly. Rubbery? Maybe needs to warm. There’s some coffee, nuts, and licorice as well. Mild roasty sweet flavor. Medium-full body, thick texture, lively carbonation, and a medium roasty dry finish. Slightly off but solid.

Bottle, shared with Parksy. Very dark walnut brown with a medium brown cap that stays as a thin covering. Aroma is hearty roast, molasses, light chocolate. Palate is generously laden with hard roasted malt, nuances of molasses, bitter chocolate, licorice, light coffee. Medium-to-full bodied, soft mouthfeel. A solid and satisfying stout.

Pretty dry and full mouth feel. Haven’t had it in a while, and it will make a great beer for fall.
