The aroma is sweet with notes of roasted malt and coffee. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of roasted malt, and coffee, that gets weaker as it runs thru the mouth. The end is dry and roasted, and underway the carbondioxide tickles the tongue. Papsoe (14904), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Pours black with a short tan head that fades pretty quickly to a ring but laces a little from there. Aromas of roasted malts, dark fruits, and just a whiff of coffee. Flavor is very fruity with lots of prunes, raisin, some coffee, light chocolate and lots of roasted malts. Medium bodied and a slick oily mouthfeel. Somewhat sour on the finish though. pinkzambia (989), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 20, 2006 Bottle: Black with a small light brown head. Tangy grape aroma along with some coffee grounds notes. It has earthy notes (peat moss?), coffee, mocha flavored cardboard and a little tanginess. The body is thinner that you would expect for a stout. It has more of a feel of a porter. Thanks Indiana_Red! You the dizzzog.
